Retirement from NICU Practice
Certified Neonatal Therapists (CNTs) in good standing who plan to retire from NICU practice may apply for CNT–Retired status. This designation is valid indefinitely. If that individual later returns to practice and reattains certification, the standard initial application and examination process must be followed.

- To become a CNT-Retired, complete a short change-of-status application using the same email used for the original application.
